Search Across Multiple Cloud Storage Services
Files scattered across multiple cloud services? If you use Google Drive for personal files, OneDrive for work, and SharePoint for team documents, finding the right file means searching three different places. Tamsaek unifies all your storage into one search.
The Problem
Section titled “The Problem”Modern knowledge workers use multiple cloud services:
- Google Drive: Personal files, shared documents
- OneDrive: Microsoft 365 integration, work files
- SharePoint: Team sites, company documents
- Local folders: Downloads, projects, archives
Searching each service separately wastes time and often misses results.
Unified Search Solution

Connecting Cloud Services

Searching by Source
Section titled “Searching by Source”Search everywhere by default, or filter by source:

Privacy & Security
Section titled “Privacy & Security”All cloud connectors use:
- OAuth 2.0: You never share your password
- Read-only access: Tamsaek can’t modify files
- Local caching: Data stored on your device only
- Encrypted storage: Cached content is encrypted
Revoking Access
Section titled “Revoking Access”Remove cloud access anytime:
- In Tamsaek: Settings → Cloud → [Service] → Disconnect
- In provider settings: Google/Microsoft account security settings
Sync Settings
Section titled “Sync Settings”Sync Frequency
Section titled “Sync Frequency”Tamsaek syncs automatically:
- On app launch
- Every 30 minutes (configurable)
- Manual: Settings → Cloud → Sync Now
Selective Sync
Section titled “Selective Sync”Don’t need to index everything? Select specific folders:
- Settings → Cloud → [Service] → Configure
- Choose folders to include/exclude
- Apply changes
Storage Management
Section titled “Storage Management”Cloud caches can grow large. Manage space:
- Settings → Storage
- View cache size per source
- Clear cache for specific services
Troubleshooting

- Check sync status (look for progress indicator)
- Ensure file is in a synced folder
- Try Sync Now
”Duplicate results from cloud and local”
Section titled “”Duplicate results from cloud and local””If you use cloud sync apps (Google Drive for Desktop, OneDrive), you might have duplicates. Options:
- Exclude the local sync folder from indexing
- Or exclude the cloud source from Tamsaek
- Tamsaek attempts to deduplicate, but edge cases exist

Section titled “”SharePoint sites not showing””- Disconnect and reconnect SharePoint
- Ensure your account has access to the site
- Contact your IT admin if sites are restricted
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Connect all your services: More sources = better results
- Be selective with SharePoint: Index only sites you use
- Let initial sync complete: Large clouds take time
- Keep Tamsaek running: Background sync keeps index fresh
